1. What can I expect during my senior photo session?

At Farmhouse Memories Photography, my goal is to make you feel and look your best for a lifetime of memories in your senior portraits. There’s no need to worry about feeling shy or awkward—I will guide you through poses and make you comfortable in front of the camera. My focus is on bringing out your confidence and showcasing your unique beauty.

2. What time should we schedule the session?

The best time for photos is about 2 hours before sunset. This allows us to take advantage of the beautiful golden hour light, which enhances the warmth and glow in your portraits.

3. How should I prepare my wardrobe for the session?

We will set up a pre-consultation where you can bring several outfits to discuss your personal style and ideas for the shoot. Dress for your body type in outfits that you feel comfortable in, and bring a variety of colors and textures. Layers, jackets, and accessories are great for adding versatility. We usually photograph four to five outfits, so think about including different styles, like classic, Boho, elegant, sporty, or dressy.

4. Can you tell me more about accessories?

Absolutely! The more accessories, the better! Bring items that complement all your outfits, including footwear, jewelry, and hair accents. Bold accessories like shoes, hats, scarves, and sunglasses can add character to your images. Even if they don’t seem like a perfect match, bring them along—you might be surprised at how well they photograph!

5. Should I bring someone with me to the session?

Yes, I encourage you to bring a family member or friend along. This helps with outfit changes, as most sessions are on location and changing can be cumbersome. Plus, having someone to assist makes it easier to get to different locations for more varied photos. I typically have my car full of props, so having an extra driver can make our day even more productive!
